A. Technology of Flexographic printingRubber or Photopolymer is materials that used molded printing dies (plates). There are tree rollers involved in this prrinting technology is a meter roller (so called because it meters the amount of ink applied to plate), a roller with the plate attached, and impression roller.Function of doctor blade in this printing system is scrapes to plate subsequently.
The inventor of that the printing technology is Johanes Gutten Berg form Germany.
B. Discription on the picture is Process system for printing is begins from entering ink rollers and give the ink to plate cylinder with thin and flat.and then, from water roller give water into plate with thin and flate. Next, the paper has transfered on gripper from impression cylinder and it has pressed by blanket cylinder until it can print to the paper and hold a image. Finally, fin product have ready to distribution to customer. The main differences in workflow between conventional print production and the computer to plateprocess is :
The conventional print production example it is Computer to film(CTF), where the computer file is output onto a photographic film. This film is then used to make a printing plate, in a similar manner to a contact proof in darkroom photography.
While The CTP ( computer to plate ) methods differ according to the construction type of the imagesetter and the light source used to expose the plate surface. In terms of construction type there are three different kinds: internal drum, external drum and flat-bed imagesetters. The two main light sources used to expose the plate are ultraviolet light lamps and laser diodes. The wavelength and energy of the laser diodes depend on the type of plate that is used.
2. 5 possible causes for the differences in colour it is· The light of colour not same on server computer when process moving of image in CTP or Software else.
· Be different of ink used on the plate colour it.
· More water on the plate, so the image can be blur and colour not same into computer.
· The colour still RGB before press and not yet change it.
· Used technology is different
· The human error.
3. The proceeds from ink on paper, we can see that sometimes becomeblurry image on paper and did not register or images to visualize or dirty sothe first look is not good.As for the factors that cause such factor is caused by:taking too much ink,· wetting the water is too acidic ingredients,
· too much water is being supplied to the plate,
· setting uneven inkwell,
· ink too thick due to high temperature and humidity, etc.
4. Tree benefits from PDF file technology it is· Pdf file of data is relatively much smaller than the original data file or native file it.
· Pdf files are cross-platform, meaning that it can be opened on the pc and on Macintos.
· Pdf file can be a single file due to embed fonts, images and vectors in one file, so it does not need to be attached again.
· Not required software again let alone have yielded original pdf file.
· Pdf files are independent and universal file, so the same file can be used for various purposes.
PDF is portable document format
5. The Media Wedge CMYK is the standard tool for the control of the color transformation form the data to the digital proof or the printing. Example : color bar on buttom plate, densitometer, spechtophometer etc.
6. There are 64 pages to be printed on paper size 52 x 74 cm and A4 (21 X 29.7) print area then we can find the page in a plate that is by dividing theplano print area on a machine with printing area with the result that it wouldbe regarded 4 pages, to reach 64 pages that the results of 64 divided by 4 is 16 plate. later than 12 pages printed 4 color then there are 3 plate for 12 pages and multiplying the result 12 pages to 4 color plates (for the insidepage). the remainder, there were 13 plate (to outside pages) printed onecolor then no longer need to be multiplied, resulting in overall plate is neededthat there is a 25 plate.
o Pages to 1 plate = paper area of machine/ print area
o Pages to 1 plate = (52 x 74)/ (21 x 29,7) = 4 pages.
o 1 Plate = 4 pages
o 64 pages = 64/ 4 = 16 plate
o 12 pages = 12/ 4 = 3 plate x 4 colour = 12 plate
o 64 – 12 = 52 pages = 13 plate
o The Results = 12 plate + 13 plate = 25 plate
7. The spectrophotometers normally used in the industry only allow measurements of single-colour, relatively large-area surfaces. Whiledensitometer - a measuring instrument for determining density or specific gravity. The Transmission Densitometer provides a Light Table platform forbacklighting transmissive measurement targets such as film and transparencies. The Reading Head Arm that extends over the Light Table features the Keyboard and the Reading Head.
